High impact weather events: negative temperature anomalies (up to -8 degrees Celsius) are expected in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation, in the south of the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation, in the countries of Transcaucasia, Belarus and Ukraine.

Significant anomalies: positive temperature anomalies are expected in the north of the Sakha Republic.

Executive Director of the North Eurasi Climate Center (NEACC) Dr.Khan V.M. participated in a seminar on building national capacities in the field of slow onset disasters and impact–based forecasting for adaptation and sustainability in Central Asia and in the first scientific and practical conference "Glacier conservation - the basis for ensuring water, food, energy and environmental security."

On March 17-18, 2025, a workshop on building national capacities in forecasting and adaptation to climate risks was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan) as part of the ESCAP project "Enhancing Knowledge and Capacity to increase resilience to slow onset disasters in Central Asia". The ESCAP project is being implemented jointly with NEACC, IGCE and national partners from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The main purpose of the workshop is to empower partners to understand and apply climate change-related data and information. Dr. V.M. Khan presented an in-person report on the review of NEACC products. There were also two online reports by NEACC staff, Nabokova E.V. and Sumerova K.A., on climate watch advisories and climate monitoring.

On March 20, 2025, a scientific and practical conference "Glacier conservation - the basis for ensuring water, food, energy and environmental security" was held in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). At the conference, Dr.Khan V.M. presented the report "Assessment of climate change in Central Asia with possible consequences according to the five-year forecasts of the NEACC."
