High impact weather events: negative temperature anomalies (up to -6…-8 degrees) are expected in the north-west of the European part of Russia and in the Krasnoyarsk Territory from January, 9 to January 15.

High impact weather events: precipitation above normal is predicted in the east and southeast of the Kamchatka Territory from January, 9 to January 15.

Significant anomalies: positive temperature anomalies are expected in the northern part of Khabarovsk Krai and the Magadan Region from January, 9 to January 15.

The data on the snow and sea ice cover satellite monitoring produced by the scientific research center for space hydrometeorology "Planeta" are now on the site. The data are available for 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 winter seasons and include sea ice cover in Arctic and Antarctic regions, multi-year ice area dynamics in Russian Arctic sector, interannual changes of multi-year ice dynamics in western Arctic, seasonal and multi-year dynamics of Caspian Sea fast and drift ice.
